reading list

I am officially using this blog as a reminder for myself... as I am on the verge of having a newborn to nurse, I am starting to collect a list of books I want to read while rocking and feeding. I just ran across this one, the happiness project, on design mom's blog. I thought it looked quite interesting and, really, who couldn't use a little insight on how to be happier?... especially with the many sleepless nights that are sure to be ahead!

bangs

just when I have almost gotten past the really annoying phase of growing out my bangs, anthropologie has sent me their latest catalog which features this model with an adorable haircut... they make everything look so beautiful... now, I am so tempted. chop. chop.

new year wishes

this is the little little greeting that has been going out from us to wish our friends and family a happy and healthy new year. I know I am biased, but I can't help from smiling when I see it! I hope it makes its recipients smile, too!

YES, please!

beach treasures bag

ha! I'm back! I really am seriously terrible at this blogging thing, aren't I? well, it's a new year (happy new year!) and lots can happen... as in, I could become a regular blogger and maybe even one that has readers! only time will tell.

until then, I was just doing some perusing of SouleMama's website (which is completely inspiring me to sew more) and found this beach treasures bag (made by kate from the clean plate club) it is made from old screening—such a simple and great idea. I grew up near the ocean and at the time didn't know what I was missing, now I see it was one of these bags! I will say, my kids will each have one of these bags for their beach adventures. what a fantastic idea, huh? now, I really can't wait for summer at the beach!

someday when I am done having babies and we have extra money to spend, I will dress in harvey faircloth clothing... it's a long way off (the having extra money part, that is), but someday! their modern yet timeless, simple and quirky designs look so comfortable, fun and easy to wear.
