someday when I am done having babies and we have extra money to spend, I will dress in harvey faircloth clothing... it's a long way off (the having extra money part, that is), but someday! their modern yet timeless, simple and quirky designs look so comfortable, fun and easy to wear.

anchor pillow

I came across this pillow today while doing some research for work... what can I say? I love, love, love it!
it is a perfect blend of materials (like, that little hint of striping in the anchor!) and hand-made quality AND it is perfectly out of my budget. I am thinking after my christmas gifts are all made (and, after I decorate our new house addition and after I have the baby...ha!) I will have a go at making one for myself.

one of many christmas projects

I am not sure my design friends would find this pillow that I am working on for my motocross racing brother very "cool", BUT I am quite happy with the results. I took a fun little printing class at our new fabric store downtown last week and learned a very simple technique for clean, crisp printing—a look similar to silkscreen, but without the screen and clean-up. I am looking forward to trying this process on some other christmas presents I will be making in the upcoming weeks.

I just ran across this image on kris's color stripes. I guess she makes these little boats with found bits and pieces. well, I just LOVE them, they are perfect!

welcome aboard

hello and thanks for stopping by... or, should I say "ahoy, and welcome aboard the S.S. Little Little"? whether you prefer the cheese-ball welcome or not, I am looking forward to this blog becoming becoming a culmination of things I love and am inspired by, as well as projects I work on, so let the journey begin!
